Labour Governance and Sectoral Policies Department (GOVERNANCE)

The Labour Governance and Sectoral Policies Department leads and supports the ILO’s work on social dialogue and labour relations, labour law, labour administration and labour inspection, effective access to labour justice, employment and labour issues in all sectors, and fundamental principles and rights at work, including promoting a safe and healthy working environment.

To this end it relies on knowledge development, technical assistance, development cooperation and the promotion of the ratification and implementation of relevant international labour standards.
