ILO expands Digital Labour Platform Policy Tracker to include collective bargaining agreements

GENEVA (ILO News) – The International Labour Organization (ILO) has launched a new component of its Digital Labour Platform Policy Tracker, focusing specifically on collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) related to platform work.

This new resource offers an overview of agreements concluded between trade unions and platform companies across various countries and sectors. It provides details on each agreement’s content, scope, and legal status, helping users understand whether the agreements operate at the national, sectoral, or enterprise level within the European Union.

Integrated into the ILO’s Observatory on AI and Work in the Digital Economy online knowledge hub, the CBAs component of the Digital Labour Platform Policy Tracker allows users to filter information by country and platform type, and to explore descriptive summaries across a range of thematic areas.

The new component is part of the ILO’s ongoing efforts to monitor global policy and regulatory developments related to work and employment on digital labour platforms.

Looking ahead, the next phase of the project will focus on expanding geographic and thematic coverage, integrating judicial decisions related to the platform economy, and continuously updating the database with new legislation, and collective bargaining agreements.
