The submission of amendments to the texts considered by technical committees at the Conference is done through an online platform.
Accessing the platform
-
Accredited Government delegates or advisers, acting either in a national capacity or on behalf of a regional group, or other group of countries, can access the system by entering the email address used for the accreditation and the PIN code provided on the badge they receive upon registration to the Conference.
Delegates are reminded that amendments must be seconded by at least one other member of the Committee in order to be considered by the Committee. -
The submission of amendments is centralized through the Employers' and Workers' groups’ secretariats.
A three-step process
-
When preparing the amendments, please ensure that:
- the purpose of the amendment is clear;
- the amendment is consistent with the structure of the text and with ILO terminology;
- the amendment has a uniform purpose and will trigger only one discussion – amendments relating to two or more distinct concepts should be submitted in two or more amendments to facilitate discussion.
Concerning the use of the "move" option in the system, please note:
It can be used only to move a text to another part of the same document.
If the intention is to move a text from one instrument to the other (Convention and Recommendation), you need to submit:
- one amendment to delete the text from its original position
- another amendment to insert it in the relevant part of the other instrument.
-
The times for submitting amendments online are indicated in each Committee’s webpage and in the Daily programme.
Kindly note that amendments may only be submitted in English, French or Spanish. -
For amendments to be processed, they must be validated by the secretariat of the Committee. If one or more amendment(s) require(s) clarification, you will receive an email from the secretariat of the Committee concerned inviting you to provide the clarification needed to validate the amendment(s) concerned.
As of 1st June
