ILO Leader Programme in the Philippines

The Employers' Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP) is part of the LEADER (Leading Employers in Action for Social and Environmental Responsibility) programme. Led by the ILO Bureau for Employers’ Activities (ACT/EMP), the programme works with employer and business membership organizations (EBMOs), strengthening their capacity to support member companies to improve environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices. The programme supported ECOP to better assist its members in improving their ESG performance.

Philippine ESG State of play report

The State of Play Report on ESG in the Philippines serves as a critical baseline, capturing where the national business community currently stands in terms of environmental, social and governance criteria (ESG) awareness, integration, and reporting readiness. The findings of the study, drawn from nationwide survey and in-depth consultation with the Employers Confederation of the Philippines’ (ECOP) member companies and key stakeholders, highlight both the enthusiasm and the challenges surrounding ESG adoption.
