Implications of gendered and other inappropriate terms and references in all international labour standards
This background paper was requested by the Governing Body in follow-up to the recommendations of the Standards Review Mechanism Tripartite Working Group (SRM TWG) in 2021 and 2022. It presents information to the Governing Body concerning gendered and other inappropriate terms and references in international labour standards, including an audit of the standards, implications and proposed follow-up actions for consideration by the Governing Body (see the draft decision in paragraph 29).
