Dominica
Dominica has been a member of the ILO since 17 June 1982. Since joining the ILO Dominica has benefited from various initiatives aimed at promoting decent work and social justice. One significant aspect of the ILO's work in Dominica has been its assistance in developing and implementing labor laws and policies that align with international standards. This includes efforts to improve working conditions, eliminate discrimination in the workplace, and protect the rights of workers, including vulnerable groups such as women and children.
Additionally, the ILO has supported initiatives to enhance skills development and promote employment opportunities in Dominica. This includes programs aimed at reducing unemployment, especially among youth, through training and entrepreneurship initiatives.
