Work Based Learning Project Brief
ILO Supported by the ILO Global Programme for Skills and Lifelong Learning 3 - Lebanon (SkillUp), funded by the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation, and ENABLE programme, funded by the European Union, the work-based learning project in Lebanon, implemented by SAFADI Foundation, aims to provide market responsive skills training and post training support to vulnerable host communities and Syrian refugees to enable their transition to the labour market.
The training equips participants with practical skills and theoretical knowledge in sectors such as manufacturing, green economy, healthcare, and craft. The project targets men, women, youth, displaced non-Lebanese, and persons with disabilities, covering the North Lebanon and Akkar Governorates, prioritizing areas with high vulnerability.
By offering career counselling and post-training support, the project ensures comprehensive development and long-term success for beneficiaries. Ultimately, the work-based learning project aims to create a skilled and inclusive workforce, contributing to the socio-economic growth and resilience of both the refugees and the hosting communities in Lebanon.
