Minimum wages in Africa: Wages disparities and the redistributive potential of minimum wages

The objective of this report is to examine the potential of minimum wage systems to mitigate wage inequality. It assesses national compliance with minimum wage regulations, presents demographic and labour market profiles of salaried workers earning at or below the statutory minimum wage, and analyzes wage disparities within countries.
