Building an inclusive future: Social protection as a catalyst for disability empowerment in Viet Nam
This report seeks to contribute to the continuous improvement of social protection for persons with disabilities in Viet Nam, by undertaking a comprehensive assessment of the current system.
Viet Nam has made significant efforts to strengthen social protection for persons with disabilities over the last two decades. However, continuous efforts are required to enhance social protection measures in order to address gaps, improve effectiveness, and build a system that is fit for the future.
This report aims to contribute to policy discussion by providing a comprehensive assessment of social protection for persons with disabilities, drawing on the most up-to-date international frameworks and benchmarks. It does this by collating and assessing the extensive existing research and evidence on this topic, complemented by new evidence from qualitative discussions conducted across the country.
