About PROTECT
Labour migration is a major driver of economic and social development in South-East Asia, but women migrant workers and migrant children continue to face heightened risks of exploitation, violence, trafficking and limited access to protection and essential services.
Funded by the European Union, the PROTECT project brings together the ILO, UNICEF, UNODC and UN Women to strengthen legal and institutional frameworks, enhance protection mechanisms, and promote safe, orderly and rights-based labour migration for women migrant workers and migrant children in South-East Asia.
