Naomy Lintini, Project Manager,

The project will be implemented as a Southern African Development Community (SADC) sub regional intervention and will seek to better understand the scale, complexity, and systemic nature of the above constraints, and the severity of the sector’s poor labour rights, and work with key sector stakeholders and partners, including the SADC Secretariat, regional and national employers’ associations and trade unions, SADC member states government bodies, and private sector to address the constraints.

The overall objective of the Project is therefore to contribute to improved labour rights and working conditions for vulnerable workers in the building-construction sector in the Southern Africa Development Community.
