Recruitment of a consulting firm to conduct a study on the agriculture value chain and the economic and employment opportunities for young people in the Employment Intensive Investment (EII) approach and the public works sector in the EII/MINTP project intervention zone in the North-West region
Within the framework of the Ring Road HIMO/MINTP project in the Northwest region of Cameroon, the International Labour Organization (ILO) has a series of studies that must be carried out to inform the execution process and orientate our activity choice and beneficiaries. This study will help us understand the most marketable value chian as well as inform us on the availibility of other local resources that will help boost youth employment and establishing a robust agriculture value chain.
The goal of this consultancy is to assess the economic and employment opportunities available in the selected agriculture value chains. This will lead to the achievement of the following expected results:
• Carry out sensitization campaigns for young men, women, and youth in the project zone of intervention on the EII approach and the agriculture value chain
• A list of existing opportunities of the agriculture value chain
• The list of goods and equipment’s required to put in place each identified agriculture value chain
• The socio-economic impact of the value chain on the population
• Employment opportunities linked to the development of the agriculture value chain.
• An environmental impact assessment of the agriculture value chain
• Possible market of the products as well as a comprehensive risk and mitigation assessment report.
