Decision concerning the fifth evaluation of the functioning of the Standards Review Mechanism Tripartite Working Group and outcome of the meeting on the follow-up to outdated Conventions

The Governing Body:

(a) thanked the Officers and Members of the Standards Review Mechanism Tripartite Working Group (SRM TWG) for the information allowing it to undertake a fifth evaluation of the functioning of the SRM TWG;

(b) took note of the information provided by the Office related to the outcome of the meeting on the follow-up to outdated Conventions;

(c) reiterated the importance of the SRM TWG in contributing to ensuring a clear, robust and up-to-date body of international labour standards and stressed the need for timely follow-up action by Member States, social partners as well as by the Office to its recommendations as adopted by the Governing Body;

(d) requested the SRM TWG to take its guidance into account in continuing its work in line with its work plan and that it continues to be kept informed of the functioning of the SRM TWG so as to allow it to undertake a further evaluation in March 2029.
