ILO to release new report on social dialogue

GENEVA (ILO News) – The International Labour Organization (ILO) will launch the second edition of its global social dialogue report on Wednesday 11 December.

The ILO Social Dialogue Report 2024: Peak-level social dialogue for economic development and social progress, explores the critical role of social dialogue in advancing economic and social development, driving the continuing environmental and digital transitions, and accelerating progress towards the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Its findings build on global data, surveys and reviews of social dialogue processes and outcomes, and provide insights into how social dialogue promotes democratic participation in the world of work, decent work and a fair labour income distribution.

The findings will be presented by Manuela Tomei, ILO Assistant Director-General for Governance, Rights and Dialogue, and Konstantinos Papadakis, ILO Senior Specialist and co-author of the report.

The report and all associated materials will be under STRICT EMBARGO until 10.30 CET (9.30 GMT) on Wednesday 11 December.
