The ILO provides support to the development of a new e-business.mn platform in Mongolia
With the support of the ILO-Formalization of the Informal Economy Project Phase 2, the Ministry of Economy and Development (MED) successfully held a workshop among large enterprises on 17 October 2025.

MONGOLIA (ILO News) – The workshop was co-organized by the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation, and Communication, and E-Mongolia Academy. It aimed to discuss the new “e-business 2.0” version, specifically the system’s design and content. A total of 45 participants attended the workshop. Among them, 22 were representatives from large enterprises.
In the opening remarks, Balchinluvsan, the Director of the Business Environment Policy Department, MED, highlighted the importance of the workshop and emphasized the significance of reducing red tape through the e-business platform.
Munkhtogtokh, the ILO National Project Coordinator, presented the action plan of the project, and Tengis, Advisor to the Minister of Economy and Development, presented good practices of the Estonian e-business platform from different aspects.
During the workshop, participants were divided into five groups and worked on specific tasks prepared by the E-Mongolia Academy, covering design, content, and the system’s functionalities. At the end of the session, the participants shared their insights.
