Delivering competency-based training in Lebanon

The ILO developed guidelines for non-formal market-based skills training that aim to improve the quality and relevance of training.

14 February 2021

These guidelines have been implemented under the SKILL-UP Lebanon project in five competency-based vocational courses: metal welding, steel setting, foreman for road maintenance and construction, plumbing, and glass installation. This video shows the implementation process of the vocational training course on “Plumbing – home maintenance and repair”.

Providing skills training that is relevant to the needs of the labour market is an important step for improving the way in which non-formal skills training is run in Lebanon.
