Today millions of children are afflicted by the scourge of child labour. Since their inception, trade unions have been actively involved in the fight against child labour. They are working to ensure the effective elimination of all forms of child labour, and campaigning for free, compulsory, quality basic education for all children.

ACTRAV supports trade union child labour activities in areas like capacity building, campaigns, collective bargaining, projects and normative action. Furthermore, ACTRAV liaises with the ILO’s International Programme on the Elimination of Child Labour (IPEC) on trade union concerns and activities related to child labour.
