Bringing Back Jobs Safely: A presentation at the ILO Japan project launch

The ILO and the Government of Japan launched a new project that will help improve safety and health of workers in micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the non-metropolitan regions of the Philippines and mitigate the negative socioeconomic impact of the COVID-19 crisis.

Mr Hideki Kagohashi, ILO Enterprise Development Specialist of the ILO Country Office for the Philippines provided a brief presentation during the virtual launch held on 15 July 2021.

The project aims to make micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) workplaces safer and more productive so that businesses can re-open and operate safely without returning to stricter lockdown.

To achieve its goals, the project will work with the national network of training service providers to deliver the training on COVID-19 occupational safety and health (OSH), and digitalization of business operations such as digital entrepreneurship, e-commerce strategies and digital financial literacy.
