Protecting garment workers through employment injury insurance

Bangladesh’s garment industry launched an EII pilot in 2022, covering 4M workers. Provides long-term compensation for injury/death, pensions, and rehab services. BDT 13.9M already paid to 305 beneficiaries. Success driving expansion into a national scheme with ADB support.
