Jigjiga Polytechnic College (JPTC), located in Ethiopia's Somali region, is transforming lives by providing skills training for youth from host and refugee communities. With support from the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the Ethiopia Centre for Disability and Development (ECCD), the college has become a model of inclusivity.
By introducing disability-friendly infrastructure such as ramps, accessible toilets, and modified classrooms, alongside Disability Inclusion Awareness Training (DIAT) for staff, JPTC is empowering persons with disabilities to overcome barriers and thrive.
