Skills mapping in Egypt: Opportunity scouting and skills mapping analysis
The Skills Mapping in Egypt study, conducted by the International Labour Organization (ILO) under the Social Dialogue for Formalization and Employability in the Southern Neighbourhood (SOLIFEM) project—co-funded by the European Union (EU)—assesses labour market challenges, skills gaps and approaches to enhancing skill sets and employability.
The report examines the role of skill development in improving productivity and diversifying employment opportunities for workers. It identifies skills gaps and examines the Egyptian labour market's most prominent challenges, particularly the barriers faced by women and workers in the informal economy across specific sectors and geographical areas.
