This factsheet details how the PROSPECTS Partnership is supporting Jordan as it upholds refugee protection while advancing sustainable development for all. Hosting around 440,000 registered refugees at the end of 2025, Jordan continues to facilitate refugee access to public education and the labour market, while facing economic stagnation, high debt and youth unemployment.

Funded by the Netherlands and implemented by IFC, ILO, UNHCR, UNICEF and the World Bank, PROSPECTS works closely with Jordanian authorities, employers’ and workers’ organizations across four integrated pillars: Protection and Social Protection, Decent Work and Livelihoods, Education and Learning, and Critical Infrastructure.

These joint efforts have delivered tangible results, including documentation for 760,031 refugees and asylum-seekers, legal support and case management for 135,336 individuals, social protection support for 43,785 people, skills training for 59,074 youth, and 21,035 new job opportunities through wage and self-employment. By linking protection, education and economic inclusion, the Partnership helps strengthen social cohesion and expand pathways to stability, dignity and opportunity across Jordan.
