This factsheet details how the PROSPECTS Partnership is helping to translate Kenya's progressive policy vision into practice, aligning directly with the Government's Shirika Plan to integrate over 864,000 refugees and asylum seekers into national systems and achieve self-reliance.

Supported by the Netherlands, the coalition (IFC, ILO, UNHCR, UNICEF, and the World Bank) works closely with the Government of Kenya and county authorities. The integrated approach focuses on four pillars: strengthening Protection and Social Protection, promoting Employment and Livelihoods, expanding Education and Training, and investing in Critical Infrastructure.

Together, these coordinated efforts have delivered tangible outcomes—such as 792,362 refugees gaining national legal status and 8,741 new job opportunities supported—to ensure refugees and host communities actively participate in Kenya's economic development and stand on their own feet.
