Potatoes and leafy green vegetables: value chain analysis (Akkar, Lebanon)
This study, supported by the ILO, describes a value chain analysis of two of the major crops cultivated in Akkar, North Lebanon –potatoes and leafy green vegetables. It aims to draw an integrated detailed value chain where all the key actors are presented along with the vertical relations and correlations that control the processes inside the chains.
The study provides a complete value chain analysis for both potatoes and leafy green vegetables starting from the inputs to the point of consumption. It addresses all steps and provides a market analysis of the product flow.
