Perceptions and experiences of workplace violence and harassment research: Policy brief
This Policy Brief presents the key findings of the "Perceptions and Experiences of Workplace Violence and Harassment" Study, conducted by Özyeğin University in collaboration with the ILO Türkiye Office as part of the "More and Better Jobs for Women" programme, financed by Sweden. It also offers policy recommendations for relevant actors of the world of work to prevent workplace violence and harassment.
This Policy Brief includes the findings from the "Perceptions and Experiences of Workplace Violence and Harassment" Study, along with concrete policy recommendations developed in line with ILO’s social dialogue approach, based on consultations with relevant public institutions and trade union and employer organizations. This study, the first comprehensive study on workplace violence and harassment in Turkey, focuses on different types of violence, including physical, psychological, sexual, and economic violence, as well as sectoral differences. The study also provides significant data on perceptions and experiences of discrimination in the workplace and the referral and support mechanisms available to workers.
