As part of the Philex Mining Corporation's community development and outreach programmes, the company has built and continue to maintain the 21-kilometer Philex-Kias provincial road which also benefits neighbouring communities.
Through this documentation, ILO-IPEC hopes to distill the Philex experience as a showcase for replication or to stimulate new ideas in child labour elimination. This will be an especially useful tool for employers groups in pursuing the good practices of Philex.
