Disability employment quotas: Lessons for Indonesia from ASEAN and East Asia

The study provides a comparative analysis of Indonesia’s quota system alongside selected ASEAN and East Asian countries. It aims to distil key design features, governance arrangements, and enforcement mechanisms to inform realistic and feasible amendments to Indonesia’s approach.

This study provides a comparative analysis of Indonesia’s quota system alongside selected ASEAN and East Asian countries: China, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand. It aims to distil key design features, governance arrangements, and enforcement mechanisms to inform realistic and feasible amendments to Indonesia’s approach. Findings are based on desk research of national laws, regulations, and policies, as well as relevant literature. They are complemented with a comparative analysis of international practices and stakeholder consultations.
