This report is a result of the cooperation project entitled “Sustainable Supply Chains for Building Forward Better” is a joint initiative funded by the European Commission and the International Labour Organization (ILO), which aims to promote decent work in global supply chains in five key sectors for the European Union. One of them, the coffe suply chain in Colombia.
From the project perspective, the general objective of this Rapid Study was to identify the underlying causes related to decent work deficits in the coffee supply chain in Colombia. This took into account aspects such as labour informality, working conditions, occupational safety and health (OSH) risks, and their relationship with worker migration, labour qualifications and the impacts of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the sector.
