Project summary
The overall objective of the ‘Labour Mobility for Sustainable Development and Climate Resilience in the Pacific’ project is to enhance the benefits of safe and fair migration as a sustainable development and climate resilience strategy in the Pacific. The joint project will contribute towards improved labour migration governance, decent work principles and standards in labour migration programmes, promotion of safe and regular labour mobility programmes, enhanced pre-departure assistance and improved reintegration support for returning labour migrants and their families. IOM and ILO will be working closely with partners across the Pacific to strengthen their approach to labour mobility and contribute to the goals of the 2050 Strategy for the Blue Pacific Continent.
