From earthquake response to long-term resilience

This project contributes to community resilience by employing Employment-Intensive Investment approaches to the rehabilitation of selected community infrastructure to make it more resistant to possible future shocks. Alongside project-supported employment opportunities, vocational training is provided to the most vulnerable community members to help restore livelihoods and strengthen resilience. By linking infrastructure rehabilitation with skills development, the project promotes inclusive recovery and supports long-term community resilience in one of Myanmar’s most affected regions.

The project is implemented under the ILO Initiative on Decent Work for Peace and advances the application of decent work principles for peacebuilding in line with the HDP Nexus approach.
