Decent work for social cohesion and community resilience

This initiative promotes decent work within the Humanitarian–Development–Peace Nexus, strengthening cooperation between the ILO, its constituents, and UN partners in northern Togo. It aims to enhance resilience and social cohesion in vulnerable communities by expanding access to decent work and improving livelihoods.

Combining job creation with skills development and employment-intensive investments, including the construction and rehabilitation of essential infrastructure in water, sanitation, environmental protection, and agriculture, the project supports improved living conditions, strengthens local economies, and fosters cooperation among communities.

The project is implemented under the ILO Initiative on Decent Work for Peace and advances the application of decent work principles in peacebuilding and crisis prevention, aligning implementation with the HDP Nexus approach.
