Validation of Gap Analysis on Laws on Child Labour and Working Conditions in Small-Scale Gold Mining

The Convening Stakeholders to Develop and Implement Strategies to Reduce Child Labour and Improve Working Conditions in Artisanal and Small-Scale Gold Mining or ILO CARING Gold Project will hold a roundtable discussion and validate findings of a gap analysis.

The Gap analysis and recommendations covered laws on child labour and working conditions in artisanal and small-scale gold mining (ASGM). One of the key project components is to enhance these existing laws to become more responsive to the situation of the artisanal and small-scale gold mining miners and communities.

Key findings and recommendations of the gap analysis study will be presented to a group of stakeholders, representing government agencies, workers and employers organizations and national artisanal and small-scale gold mining coalition.
