Training on fair recruitment for implementing partners

Training on fair recruitment for implementing partners

The International Labour Organization (ILO) organized a three-day training on fair recruitment for implementing partners, civil society organizations and labour organizations in Myanmar from 7 to 9 October 2026. The training is jointly organized under the TRIANGLE Partnerships for Fair and Effective Labour Migration in ASEAN and the Ship to Shore Rights South-East Asia: Safe Migration for Decent Work in the Blue Economy (S2SR) programmes.

About the training

Fair recruitment is an important component of decent work and plays a key role in protecting migrant workers from exploitation and abuse throughout the recruitment process. Promoting fair recruitment requires not only appropriate policies and standards, but also the capacity of organizations working directly with migrant workers to provide effective information, support and services.

Against this background, the training will strengthen the capacity of implementing partners, civil society organizations and labour organizations working on labour migration issues in Myanmar to understand and promote fair recruitment principles and practices. It will provide a space for participants to build their knowledge of fair recruitment, exchange experiences and strengthen their capacity to identify recruitment-related risks and support migrant workers. The training will also encourage knowledge sharing and dialogue among organizations working to promote safe, fair and rights-based labour migration in Myanmar.

The training forms part of the technical capacity-building activities implemented jointly by the TRIANGLE Partnerships and S2SR programmes in Myanmar.
