Training to community workers

Refresher training on women empowerment and safer migration

A seven-day refresher training on women empowerment and safer migration will be provided to the community workers of the Work in Freedom (WIF) Programme’s implementation partners.

The ILO-DFID "Work in Freedom" programme, is organizing a seven-day refresher training for the community workers of the programme’s implementing partners across Dolakha, Chitwan, Ilam, Morang and Rupandehi districts in Nepal. The community workers provide information on safe migration to potential women migrant workers in the five districts through door-to-door visits and orientation sessions. The overall objective of the project is to reduce the vulnerability of prospective migrant workers, particularly women, to trafficking and forced labour.
