This is one of the three parallel sessions of 2019 Labour Forum entitled “Future of Work: The Choice of Viet Nam”. The forum, one of the highlights of the ILO Centenary year, is co-organized by the ILO in Viet Nam and the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs.

This session will provide an overview of various categories of workers who often face social protection gaps, and provide proposals for innovative approaches that Viet Nam can take to close coverage and adequacy gaps, and to adapt its social protection system to changing circumstances and demands.
