This is one of the three parallel sessions of 2019 Labour Forum entitled “Future of Work: The Choice of Viet Nam”. The forum, one of the highlights of the ILO Centenary year, is co-organized by the ILO in Viet Nam and the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs.

Viet Nam needs to move towards high performance workplaces based on genuine social dialogue, away from a low-wage manufacturing and export model. In this session, participants will assess current policy and institutional challenges, and debate on alternative strategies to build workplaces based on genuine social dialogue.
