National workshop for development of a country accelerated action plan against child labour, Antigua and Barbuda
ILO-Brazil South-South Cooperation Project (RLA20/05/BRA) “Support for Consolidation of Progress in the Regional Initiative Latin America and the Caribbean Free of Child Labour”.
This workshop is organized by the Department of Labour in the Ministry of Legal Affairs, Public Safety and Labour and is supported by the ILO-Brazil South-South Cooperation project "Support for the Consolidation of progress of the Regional Initiative Latin America and the Caribbean Free of Child Labour.”
The engagement will serve as both a national consultation to review the findings and recommendations of an ILO supported Rapid Assessment on Child Labour in Antigua and Barbuda, and as a workshop with key stakeholders in the country to advance the development of a Country Accelerated Action Plan (CAAP) on Child Labour.
Technical contributions from ILO officials of the Regional Initiative Technical Secretariat and the ILO Caribbean Office, as well as from counterparts in the Ministry of Labour and Employment of Brazil will be featured in the event which aims to support Antigua and Barbuda in developing evidence-based national and local child labour prevention and eradication policies and plans.
