Child labour
Makiisa Para sa #1MBatangMalaya: One With the Children in Ending Child Labour
The ILO together with the Department of Social Welfare and Development, Department of Education, Department of Labor and Employment, Pantawid Pamilya Pilipino Program (4Ps) and BAN Toxics! will have a joint launch of different programmes and tools to address child labour.
In support of this call, a convergence approach of services provided by various government and non-government organizations has led to the development of various programmes and tools that will address child labour in the Philippines. These are:
- Convening Actors to Reduce Child Labour and Improve Working Conditions in Artisanal and Small-Scale Gold Mining (CARING-Gold), a project of ILO and BanToxics funded by the United States Department of Labor,
- Strategic Help Desks for Information, Education, Livelihood and other Developmental Interventions (SHIELD) against Child Labour of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), and
- Module on Child Labour for the Family Development Sessions of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).
