Launch of the report “Productivity growth, diversification and structural change in the Arab States''.
The aim of this event is to discuss and share insights on timely issues such as: <ul><li>Why productivity growth is stalled in the Arab States</li> <li>What set of national development plans should prioritize to bring about productivity growth, diversification, and structural change across the Arab region of the Gulf and Middle East.</li></ul>
In its new report, the ILO Regional Office for Arab States has produced the most extensive analysis of labor productivity and multi-factor productivity trends in the Arab States from 1950s to date. The report analyses the main barriers to productivity growth in the region and includes a set of policy recommendations to bring productivity growth, diversification, and structural change to the forefront of national development plans.
