ILO participates in the Abu Dhabi Dialogue Third Ministerial Consultation on labour migration
The ILO will meet with officials from Arab Gulf and Asian nations at the Third Ministerial Consultation of the Abu Dhabi Dialogue to devise future programmes on migrant worker recruitment and internal labour market mobility.
The Third Ministerial Consultation of the Abu Dhabi Dialogue (ADD), a meeting of ministers from migrant worker countries of origin and destination will be attended by ILO officials in a bid to promote better migration practices in the Asia-Arab States migration corridor. The meeting will bring together senior officials from Asian countries of origin and Gulf countries of destination to discuss labour migration issues.
Participants at the meeting will:
Share progress on ADD pilot projects from the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and the Philippines;
Present the report of the Senior Officials Meeting chairman on best practices held in May 2016 and;
include a session on fair recruitment practices.
The meeting will conclude with the adoption of the ADD Operating Modalities, and the Kuwait Declaration.
