Basic Leadership Training: Capacity Building for New and Potential Trade Unions Leaders in Luzon

On 14-15 July 2015, the ILO Country Office for the Philippines (ILO CO-Manila) conducted a two-day Basic Leadership Training: Capacity Building for New and Potential Trade Unions Leaders in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan. The objectives of the training were: (a) to provide the participants information on ILO Conventions Nos. 87 and 98 and how to be applied in the national law and practice; and (b) to provide participants inputs on practical applications of their learning in organizing work, establishing shop steward systems, trade union administration and collective negotiations.
