Congo
Congo has been a member of the ILO since 1960. Today, the country benefits from ILO support in the areas of labour administration, international labour standards, skills development and employability, and the fight against the worst forms of child labour. In October 2023, the country signed its very first Decent Work Country Programme (DWCP 2022-2026) and a development cooperation project is currently underway to support the country in developing skills and employability in the agricultural sector (PRODIVAC). The Congo is also a pathfinder country in the 8.7 Alliance to eradicate forced labour, modern slavery, human trafficking and child labour, in accordance with SDG Target 8.7.
