About the ILO in Thailand
Thailand is one of the ILO’s founding members, joining in 1919. Through extensive tripartite consultations, Thailand government and social partners have developed Thailand’s first Decent Work Country Programme (DWCP) covering the period 2019-21, which provides the overall framework for collaboration with the ILO. The DWCP is in line with Thailand’s broader strategies and policies that are designed to enable the country to maintain strong and sustainable economic growth in line with realising social justice and decent work for all. As such, it supports Thailand’s ambition to make the transition to a high-income country and support the realization of the National Strategy (2018-37).
