The Trade Unions in Transformation HUB supports trade unions worldwide in navigating a complex and rapidly changing world of work. Through knowledge development, awareness-raising, training and strategic foresight, it equips unions with essential resources and tools to support their own transformative journeys. It aims to empower unions to navigate challenges and build resilience while actively shaping their future in the shifting landscape of work.

Many unions worldwide have programmes on strategic organisational development to address key transitions in the world of work. Through the establishment of the Trade Unions in Transformation HUB, ILO ACTRAV aims to bring together these initiatives and support trade unions as they navigate ongoing shifts in the world of work.

WHY? Because trade unions are stronger when they act together. Pooling resources, sharing knowledge, exchanging experiences and good practices, and developing joint initiatives increase collective impact.

WHAT? The Trade Unions in Transformation HUB serves as a platform to connect initiatives, disseminate resources, scale up tools and learn from experiences from Trade Unions worldwide as they respond to a world of work in flux. It is a first step towards strengthening joint collective action by trade unions worldwide around Trade Unions in Transformation.

For workers and their organizations, the question is not only how to react to change. The real question is how to anticipate and shape it. If disruption has become the new normal, then the capacity to navigate disruption must also become the new normal.
