The "Elimination of Worst Forms of Child Labour in Hazelnut Harvest in Seasonal Agriculture" project, supported by Ferrero Hazelnut in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour and Social Security and the International Labour Organization (ILO), aims to keep our school-age children and youth away from child labour. It is of great importance to ensure that the school lives of the children of seasonal agricultural families, who spend a significant part of the year away from their homes on the roads and in temporary accommodation areas, are not interrupted for the sake of equal educational opportunities. As part of our project, we conduct school visits in the places where families migrate, meet with their teachers, and monitor their attendance status. During school closures, we direct our children to suitable courses and workshops. In addition to supporting formal education, we offer programs in science, art, sports, and basic life skills. With our workshops, we aim to introduce children to new activities, help them discover their personalities, become aware of their talents, and provide guidance in setting their future goals accordingly. The most valuable outcome of our efforts will be to see the younger generation as educated, skilled, and successful individuals.
