The revised international standard classification of occupations (ISCO-88): a short presentation

The purpose of this paper is to briefly outline the main user areas of an international standard classification of occupations, present the main considerations and features of ISCO-88, and present the follow-up work on ISCO-88 carried out at the national level and by the Bureau of Statistics of the ILO.
