Decision concerning the promotion of the Tripartite Declaration of Principles concerning Multinational Enterprises and Social Policy and responsible business conduct

The Governing Body:

(a) recognized the integral role of the Tripartite Declaration of Principles concerning Multinational Enterprises and Social Policy, as amended in 2022 (MNE Declaration), for the delivery of the ILO's core mandate and appreciated the progress made in supporting constituents and enterprises in making better use of its guidance and tools to advance decent work;

(b) requested the Director-General to take into account the Governing Body's guidance on:

• (i) the continued promotional activities to support constituents and enterprises in making better use of the MNE Declaration, within the ongoing ILO reform process;
• (ii) further strengthening the strategic partnerships on responsible business conduct and sustainable investment, including the opportunity presented with the 50th anniversary of the MNE Declaration;

(c) requested the Office to provide a progress report on the promotion of the MNE Declaration on a regular basis.
