Decision concerning the follow-up to the resolution concerning the general discussion on addressing informality and promoting the transition to formality for decent work

The Governing Body requested the Director-General to:

(a) take account of its guidance concerning the proposed plan of action on addressing informality and promoting the transition to formality for decent work for 2026-31 as set out in document GB.355/INS/3/1, notably the preparation of the global road map towards formalization;

(b) submit the draft global road map, including the corresponding financial implications, for its consideration at its 358th Session (November 2026); and

(c) take account of the outcome of its discussion of the global road map towards formalization at its 358th Session in the preparation of the draft Programme and Budget for 2028-29 and subsequent programme and budget proposals.
