Decision concerning the report of the Committee set up to examine the representation alleging non-observance by Uruguay of Conventions Nos 155 and 161

In the light of the conclusions and recommendations set out in the report of the Committee contained in document GB.354/INS/9/4, the Governing Body:

(a) approved the report of the Committee and, in particular, the conclusions formulated in paragraphs 21 to 35;

(b) requested the Government of Uruguay to submit, in its next report on the application of the Occupational Safety and Health Convention, 1981 (No 155), and the Occupational Health Services Convention, 1985 (No. 161), information related to its conclusions, in particular with regard to the matters covered in paragraphs 28, 29 and 34 of this report;

(c) decided to make the report publicly available and to close the representation procedure.
