Decision concerning the composition, agenda and programme of standing bodies and meetings

The Governing Body, upon the recommendation of its Officers:

(a) appointed for a period of three years, the following four new members of the Committee of Experts on the Application of Conventions and Recommendations;

• (i) Doctor A.L. Molokomme (Botswana);
• (ii) Professor K.A. Sándor (Hungary);
• (iii) Ms R. Vélez Juárez (México);
• (iv) Professor K. Banks (Canada);

(b) reappointed for a period of three years, the following three members of the Committee of Experts on the Application of Conventions and Recommendations;

• (i) Mr J.R. Herrera (Colombia);
• (ii) Mr B.B. Kanyip (Nigeria);
• (iii) Ms A. Sreenevasan (Malaysia);

(c) approved the arrangements for the Meeting of Experts on occupational safety and health in extreme weather events and changing weather patterns to be held on 2–6 February 2026;

(d) approved the deferral of the Tenth Meeting of the Standard Review Mechanism Tripartite Working Group to 14-18 September 2026 and the follow-up action outlined in paragraph 23 of document GB.354/INS/11;

(e) authorized the Director-General to invite the Governments of Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom to the 20th American Regional Meeting, as well as the intergovernmental and international non-governmental organizations as listed in Appendix II of document GB.354/INS/11 to that meeting and other ILO official meetings listed therein;

(f) approved the arrangements for the tripartite representation at the Second World Summit for Social Development to be held in Qatar from 4 to 6 November 2025;

(g) appointed Mr Lelio Bentes Corrêa (Brazil) Special Envoy to Belarus;

(h) took note of the programme of meetings contained in Part II of document GB.354/INS/11, subject to further Governing Body decisions.
